why is computer modeling useful when looking at effects of pollution in evolution?
 
It is very difficult to experimentally test the effects of pollution in evolution by means other than computer modeling. Evolution is very slow. Computer modeling allows scientists to artificially speed up the process. It also allows scientists examine any wide number of parameters, i.e. levels of pollution, with ease.
