jailed convicts with tattoes? I have never seen a stronger role model for young black men other than these type of characters. The only one of a upstanding background that comes to mind is Obama but he isn't even part of mainstream black culture
The truth is alot of young black guys in high schools emulate ghettoass men who cuss and swagger about having it their way. This is the truth. Some of them find going to jal or being caught by the police as a commendable badge of honor. Everytime I walk into class, there is usually some black student wanting to rap or write down rap lyrics while the teacher is talking. They are only interested in living the gangsta culture. Their idea of masculinity is to act like a convict and screw everyone else.
Is it wierd that when a black guy succeeds in his schoolwork he has to hide it from his peers? There is only 1 black guy who takes all of the same AP/Honors classes that I do. He NEVER talks to other black kids because they will hold him down
