Why is baseball the only sport where people are most guaranteed to tell you the score?

For example,,, Whenever a baseball game finishes, you hear quite often people saying things like, The Yankees won 5 to 3 or the Red Sox beat the Angels 16 to 3. You rarely hear about as often with other sports as much. If it was a basketball game, you dont hear as much people saying the Lakers beat the Knicks 99 to 75. You just hear them saying whichever team won. Or a hockey game where they say the Rangers won 4 to 2. Same thing with all the other sports. Why is baseball so important for people to tell you the score of the game and not as much with other sports?
 
Baseball scores are simplistic. The Giants won 5-3 is easier to say, and remember, than the Niners losing 21-17, or the Warriors losing 115-99.

That may be one reason for it.
