So I meet a girl on one of those online dating sites. I get her #, we make banter back and forth and things seem good. she wants to go out she says. she says to get in touch with her when I want to set up a date. so I text her the night before I want to see her to see what she's up to, break the text-ice and let her phone save my #. we make more banter, and then I say in a text that I want to call her in a bit (because I want to ask her out for the next day). She just responds saying "have a great night!" completely ignoring my request to call. So befuddled, i settle on calling her 20 minutes later - she doesn't answer. now I don't know what to do.
my problem: I just feel wrong asking a girl out through a text message. maybe that's what she expects? what's wrong with society that girls are afraid to talk on the phone ? I'm new to online dating so maybe that's just how it goes? someone fill me in. and what do I do now?
