To actually want to own a Lincoln, one would have to say to himself, "I need a new car, but I don't want a BMW, I don't want a Mercedes, I don't want an Audi, I don't want a Jaguar, I don't want a Lexus, I don't want an Acura, I don't want an Infiniti, I don't want a Cadillac, I don't want a Volvo, I don't want a Hyundai, and I don't want a Kia. These are far too good for me. I want a Ford/Mazda with some leather in it and some fake wood on the dash, and I want to spend BMW like money on it!"

Seriously. If you by any chance own a Lincoln, then let me ask why?!?!?!?!?! Why would you buy a car with prehistoric suspension, that doesn't have as much steel in the body as other cars, and a "luxury car" with hard leather? And if you truly wanted an American car, why didn't you just buy a Ford and put some leather into it? And if you have the MK-Z, why didn't you just buy the fantastic Mazda 6, the car it's cloned from. Or for that matter, why did you not buy a BMW 3 series?!?!?!?!?!

COME ON!!!!!
the people that would rather buy a domestic car know absolutely nothing about what makes a good car, and would know nothing about cars... at all.

they are not quality products, and although ford is trying to fix their problems, they are still not made with as much steel, and are not as reliable.

mercedes is, i admit, not reliable either, but kia and hyundai i was referring to the hyundai genesis/kia amanti... both are more reliable/better than a lincoln.

um, ford owns mazda. Lincoln is going thru a major revamp to fix many of the problems you stated. For one, the lincoln/merc. brand is more reliable/less costly to work on than... let's see:

BMW
Audi
Volvo
Mercedes
Jaguar (piles of junk IMO)
and no offense, but Hyundai and Kia are NOT in the same league.

plus there are lots of people that would still rather buy American-owned than foriegn.
