Why I hate the library

Today I went to the library to do some work on a project and I was annoyed.

-Half the card catalogue computers were deemed unusuable because they had a virus. Then I got to a working one and tried numerous different search results, but it seems for my topic(history of the record player and what not) they do not have any specific books. Only books about the music industry in general have them, and that's kind of annoying.
-I felt too nervous to make any kind of sound. I wasn't trying to talk to people or anything, but zipping up my backpack shouldn't make me feel like I'm committing a crime.
-Even in the dead of silence, it's still to easy to get distracted. So many shelves. Third story window views. Stuff hanging from the walls. Other people walking.
-The place just flat out depressed me. People say learning is fun and a library is where you go to learn, but the two didn't seem to match up in my eyes. Libraries are too dreary to be anything resembling fun.

Well, for this project I don't even know if we're allowed to have Internet sources. I have some, but we have to primarily use books. And we also have to have a "live person" as a source.

Man, I fucking hate senior project.

unless the teacher says that you need to submit notes or photocopies of the pages you used go to the library find 10 books that probably have what you need, write down the bilbiography info, go home and use the internet

I'm glad mine is done and over with, and high school is but a tiny speck on the horizon in the rear view mirror of my life.

Many schools have online databases that contain information that is more on topic to the subjects they choose and proven to be true (They are making us write about the mindless dribble the least they can do is give us decent sources). Check with your teacher and find out if your school has something like this. It helps big time because with the articles you get the line for your works cited already worked up.
