Why i get angry and mad when my date start talking about all the other women after him?

I started dating someone, and after few dates, he started telling me about all thesepretty, young educated women who are after him. Honestly I got irritated and I said, if all these wonderful women are after you, why don't you just be with them?
Am I being rude? I am 40 years old and he is 45 .
