Why haven't the Florida Marlins discussed a relocation to another city?

I was watching a game between the Mets and Marlins last year and I noticed that there were only 10 to 20 fans per section and the outfield seats were completely empty at Dolphin Stadium.
If they do relocate, which of these cities do you think they should move to?

Charlotte, NC
Memphis, TN
New Orleans, LA
Orlando, FL

North Carolina would be a good spot. They already have football, hockey, and basketball. It is one of the fastest growing areas of the country. Miami is not a good sports town.

The want to re-locate because no one goes to Marlins games. Even after their new stadium is built, they won't bring any fans in.

I think they should relocate, but they have a new stadium that's being built, so they're not moving any time soon. I think they should move to New Orleans or Memphis, but that's not going to happen in the near future....or at all possibly.

They are already in the works to build a new stadium.

But you're right, nobody ever goes to the games except when they are playing a team with a lot of fan base. I'm a mets fan and when I go to see the Mets play against the Marlins the stadium gets pretty packed but I'd say there's like 90% Mets fans there. It's a lot of fun!

yeah i live in miami and they are talks of building a stadium at the orange bowl (where the canes used to play) if that falls apart (which seems unlikely then i guess they would relocate) and if they do relocate i'd say carolinas but it still makes sense keepin them here, after all they are still the FLORIDA and not the MIAMI marlins
