I've always found it curious that homegrown American sports like American Football, Baseball and Basketball haven't gained a big following outside the States especially considering other elements of American culture such as movies, television, music, fashion and even food have become mainstays of other cultures the world over.
Don't get me wrong, I know they are played but their popularity outside the States is nowhere near that of, say, British sports like Football (Soccer), Rugby, Tennis, Golf, etc.
Why do you believe this is?
