Why has Toyota Motors Inc. not replied to my letter about the recent unintended...

...acceleration issue? my son bought 2007 toyota camry with 40,000 miles on it in January. I feel he is playing with his life since these cars were known to accelerate unintended. I write letter to Toyota Motors Corporation headquarters in Japan asking if they are sure 2007 camry will not accelerate on its own as i have young son. They did not reply back to my letter whatsoever. Why not? So since they did not assure me car will not accelerate, i can conclude car is not safe? Son ignores my concerns and refuses to listen to anything
