Why has the debate on the right turned completely grotesque? Are talking points...

A Jewish man tells his side of the story about how healthcare worked best in Israel. He gets interrupted midway in the interview by a lady shouting "Heil Hitler!" in the background. Understandly upset, he confronts her about this and tells her that the remark was culturally insenstive. What comes as a suprise is that not only does she not retract her offending remark, she goes on to mock him in a child-like voice. I think that goes without saying that there is something wrong with the way the right is packaging their message to their impressionable followers. The Hitler comment is not new, it was already seen in a Massachusetts town hall where Barney Frank reprimanded a comparision made between Obama and Hitler

I have noticed that the debate on the right has gone off course from the real issue. Alot of hate is getting projected from the right wing media and that hate is only being imbedded on impressionable minds. Right wing talk show hosts (Glenn Beck, O Reilly, Limbaugh to name a few) don't feel a moral obligation to bring both sides of the issue, which can only lead one to believe that they are enjoying their no holds bar hate fest without self censorship to act decent in some civilized way. What is noticeably different about the radical right this time is that they are much more militant than before. They are hauling in guns to town hall meetings and voicing Timothy McVeigh-ish opinions that are borderline terrorists. Talks about the price of liberty coming from blood is a bad indication that things have gone really bad with the national discussion
