with the first three races of the season over, i have to say, this is one of the best years of racing i have seen in a while!
does anyone else think so? and if so, why do you think that?
could it be from:
the COT?
how no team was able to test over the off-season?
better tires by goodyear?
i'm open for suggestions, and thanks

Well its always really exciting in the beginning...The Daytona was a bust though I was happy for Matt and then Matt again last week...it was exciting to see someone come back from a dry season. Then of course todays race was exciting because I really didn't think Kyle was gonna do it...and he did...and that was very exciting to me. Whooo!!!

It's been kind of boring to me so far...with the rain out at Daytona after only about 15 minutes, and the standard boredom associated with California.

However, LAS VEGAS WAS AWESOME! Plus, there were a lot of fans that came out to the track which was great as well and I ENJOYED watcing Kyle Busch get back in victory lane and I'm sure the fans did, too, since it's his home track.

Very good question.

It has been an exciting season thus far. It really has. NASCAR has always had exceptional drivers but for some reason they really seem to stand out this year. Even the rookies like Logano is certainly no slouch. He young but a good racer. And, maybe, NASCAR is becoming more popular, too. (The age range of fans is expanding.)

Tires are always an issue. Ask Tony Stewart! However, this season it seems to be engines!!! And, why does it happen to Mark Martin. That guy drives his heart out.

COT is turning out to be a pretty good idea. I think we all held our collective breath when that started.

Just my opinion... Darn good race today!!!

In one word, yes. The stars are lining up all at the same time. Teams are catching their COTs up with 48 crew. The tires are getting down to just the right strength and softness. The drivers are getting a better feel of the (HOW) House On Wheels. The new blood is maturing and peaking all at the same time. It is going to be a great year. It's all coming together.

I may even come out of the closet and tell my friends that I secretly root for Kyle and carry a Jr. lunch box. Who am I kidding? There is not one driver out there that I don't love to see race every weekend. It's the best show in the nation. I don't care if you want to call it a sport or not. There is too much action to care.

But Gordon says that a fitness program is helping him out this year. So this is yet another factor of things lining up for a great season. Fitness creates better concentration and focus.

I think that keeping up with all the new teams, changing of cars and numbers, and also all the rookies this year is making it a little more exciting to keep track of it all.
