Why has my ear been popping?

I had a shower this morning - went to listen to some music with headphones on and now I have these popping sounds back and forth in my right ear. It usually pops frequently when I get worried.

Is it an ear infection or did I damage my inner ear from the loud headphone music?

ps. there is no pain
