Why has Bob Geldof been Knighted and Bono not?

I feel that he's done as much, if not more, to raise awareness to those ignored by fat-ass politicians as Geldof.

What are the requirements? Does the Queen make the decision herself?


I too, would like for Bono to do more in Europe, but he has done his fair share for Northern Ireland and the peace process.
 
Knighthoods should only be given to people who have achieved something in this life but I do not count music as one of them. It gets more ridiculous by the day with these awards. The Queen does not choose these people.... they are left to some other bozo, who seems to pick them out of a hat .
 
the knighthood meant nothing to Bob, and Bono is just a plonker without a cause
 
Because Bono is a numb nut! And while we are at it...how come Noddy Holder got a M.B.E. (great that he did) and not the rest of Slade. After all it was services to music...the others did their bit too.
