Why exercise if you burn calories daily, no matter what? Serious answers only?

Why do we exercise if we burn calories throughout the day without exercising? I've been doing a lot of research on calories, exercising, body, etc. I am 5'1 at 118 lbs and I have chosen to try to not eat anything more than 1000 calories a day. This is a personal choice, please don't judge me. I know this diet doesn't work for everyone but I've already lost 10 lbs in the past month so I'm sticking to it.

I looked up that you burn (on average/depending on body type) about 1600 calories per day OR more. 1600 is an ideal daily amount for a female to eat so why should I exercise if I eat that much and it just gets burnt away? Seriously, please answer. I've been thinking about this a lot!!
