Why dosent card reader work when i put my memory card in it?

Ok i have a Targus memory card reader and ive had it for a while and it has a like 4 slots for 4 different memory cards. and my memory card is a 1gb Memory stick Pro Duo . And ive had it for about 6 Months now. And it has always worked but recently it hasnt like when i put the card in the light i suppost go on in the corner but nothing happens so i dont know whats wrong. and for a while it would work if u wiggled it around for a while but now it dosent work at all so i dont kno what to do please helpp! Because i have pictures to postt ! Lol
