Why don't we let Chrysler, Ford and GM just fail?

I hate their unreliable cars. They don't know how to run a business. Their workers are overpaid relative to their skill level. Can we just say F*&K you and move on to the next industry that hopefully won't create gridlock, ruin the environment and hold taxpayers ransom. By the way auto workers are hard working but so are janitors and construction labourers. They just don't have a union.
My jap car is lasting longer than the two fords I owned. This is typical in case you haven't read consumer reports.
Acutually, funny enough, I work for a bank and not one that requires any American baiout money becuase we know how to run a business.
I'm sure there are 4 or 5 people who own pontiacs who like them and don't work for gm. But according to independant vehicle raters, gm, ford and chrysler make poor vehicles. I'm talking facts here. Secondly I wouldn't like to lose my job but if I work for a company/industry that is failing I don't expect my neighbor to fork out money so I can keep my obsolete job.

If people suddenly realize that fast food is bad for them and stop eating fast food, they will go out of business... so I guess, like the american auto makers, we should prop them up with tax dollars because the fast food industry employs millions and millions of people. Hey auto workers, do what most laid off people do, go find another f&^king job.
By the way Saturns suck.
