I mean you cant really ban guns in America now since the only people that will have no guns are your everyday people whilst the gangsters and the other baddies will always find ways to get them.
Giving everyone guns will put everyone on even ground as everyone will be able to defend themselves in case of emergency. If you were a gangster with a gun you would think twice about robbing a bank when you know that everyone in that bank has their own guns.
