Why don't the Civilization: Call to Power videos work on my computer?

You know, the wonder videos and the opening sequence and the victory sequence. I have a Dell with Vista (which I hate). Is there some way I can fix this? It works fine on my other computers.
 
If your other computers have WinXP then there's a good chance it's Vista that is causing the problem. I put Vista on about 6 months ago after upgrading from Dual 2.8gig processors and 3gig RAM to Quad 2.83 and 4gig RAM. About a week later I went back to XP and continued enjoying good performance (not to mention apps working properly - like the videos on Civ you mention, though I didn't play and Civs while Vista was on). ArmA and COD4 absolutely HATED Vista!!!

p.s. XP only uses up to about 3gig RAM but that extra 4th gig did nothing. To load Vista on and use the extra gig actually decreased performance.
