Why don't republicans want gays in the military?

How can they be so shortsighted? Don't they know the mortality rate in the military is pretty damn high? Wouldn't sending gays off to war ultimately serve their interests as it would shrink the gay population? I mean come on guys, if your going to be bigots at least invest some mental energy toward your bigotry.

I know plenty of gays I wouldn't mind being in a foxhole with. My ex brother-in-law is one of them. If anything, gays are more loyal to their platonic friends than many other "groups" would be.

Frankly, there are just as many liberals as there are conservatives who are ignorant and misguided on this subject. Why don't you ask them about this instead of just blindly directing it at conservatives, like you think this is some kind of code by which we live.
