Many times in my life, I have been nice to people, only to have them turn around and be nasty to me. I can understand someone being mean in response to mean behavior. Why is it, then, that people don't always give back the kindness one puts out? So much for the saying that you get back the very same thing you give out!
Why don't people return nice behavior with nice behavior?
