Why dont people have an interfaith gathering and discuss ways to protect our planet?

Chopping down every tree for profits and with that the beautiful birds and wild animals are fast dying.

our planet is fast becoming a desert.

chemicals are destroying our earth and our health

So why dont religious people set an example and organize rallies to protest against the destruction of this only home we all have (EARTH)?
