Why don't make ballots so people have to solve simple equations in order to vote?

Just to make sure they have some basic knowledge. For example:

If you're voting for the Democrat candidate, solve for x:

5x^2 - 20x + 15 = 0

If you're voting for the Republican candidate, solve for x:

3x^3 - 20x - 112 = 0
