Why don't History teachers just teach the controversy?

There are many people out there that believe the Holocaust never happened, yet they continue to teach our students that it did happen! I think that students should be exposed to both views so they can choose on their own!

Yes. Let's teach that the British never lost the war with the North American colonies, either, since some people don't want to believe that happened, or that a man ever walked on the Moon. And how about how the Earth isn't flat.

Because they are history teachers. They teach facts, not fantasy.

You can believe anything you like, I guess, but the evidence for the Holocaust is overwhelming. It is not as if the truth has been lost to the sands of time. There are millions of people still living who remember it as it happened.

Read this, and become educated:

because we have proof that it did in fact happen. and it would make sence because it seems that jews are always getting picked on in history. but thats like saying, hey why dont we teach the children that the world is flat, even though its clearly round, just because a few idiots out there believe it is? hey why dont we teach kids that a dog says meow, and a cat says woof? why dont we make everyone practice every religion?

people can do what they want. they dont need to be taught what to believe in school. if they dont believe that the holocaust happened thats ok, no ones forcing them to.

Hello,
This has nothing to do with 'views'. Facts teach that the murders happened. No attempted minimising changes that. Evidence is overwhelming.
Kind regards, Günter

Human society believes the victors should have the right to force whatever history they want on other people. Questioning the holocaust is punishable by a prison sentence in many countries.

Dude guys, can't you tell he is being sarcastic? This is mocking those who think creationism should be taught in school.

@interested: there are also many people who believe in palmistry and psychics, why not teach those too?
