besides just giving everyone forty Does anyone know Wal-Mart typically gives their employees a forty cent raise(big whoopee) instead of a sixty cent raise?Or is a Wal-Mart urban legend? Or is Wal-Mart too cheap to give it's associates better wages? A raise of forty cent or even sixty cents doesn't really go too far in today's world anyway. Why not make like a buck or more? Does anyone know anything about this with Wal-Mart?

Wal Mart became a big store by one credo, pay less to vendore and employees. They are killing America. Boycott Wal Mart!

Because WalMart is the scum of the earth!! They all need to burn to the ground!! Watch the walmat documentary WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price...

Walmart sells stuff cheap to people who want to buy stuff cheap. That means, everything in their operation (from buying the products in China to the store clerk who puts it on the shelf) must be cheap.

You're not entitled to anything for a raise. If the employees don't like it, they can quit and go work someplace else. As long as there are other people to come in and work those jobs, they will continue to offer cheap raises to their workers.

well my mom works their and has been their for almost 8 yrs now and now they have an elimination process and if u dont try at all you get the 40 cents but if you try kinda u get 50 cents and if you step it up you get 60 cents raise it just depends if u r lazy or not....
