Why doesn't video link appear on my YM chat?

So you know, when my friend posted a video link to the conversation, isn't it supposed to be playable too in the conversation? but in my case, it can't be playable and instead of showing the video, it only showed a grey background in it. I'm not sure the problem is my flash player, because if it is, then I wouldn't be able to watch video too on Youtube, Yahoo video etc, but I can.

What's wrong with it?
