Matthew 17-20 For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
John 14:14 If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.
James 5:15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.
These verses are straightforward. Ask and you shall receive. And it doesn't mean they may or may not happen. But you could and nothing would happen and if it did, it would be ambiguous and could be explained because of something else.
And how could prayer work anyway if God has a divine and perfect plan for everyone? Because if he does, then to pray and ask for something would be asking him to deviate from His plan and he can't do that because that would mean his original plan was imperfect.
@rascal-you're not seriously talking to me?
@Jesus Street-You're saying that anyone who has faith will get anything they ask for? Sorry, I've seen Christians believe and ask and it didn't happen.
@teh tyme kitty-exactly.
@Jesus Street-So when Jesus said we could move a mountain, he meant it could be now or in 50 years? Seems to me that the verse meant the prayer would happen pretty quick, if you believed. So if YOU ask for something, then it should happen now, not years from now.
@CJ-I think he is. And he's telling me 'Don't listen to CJ.'
