Why doesn't my MOTOROLA DROID's Wi-Fi work?

I'll go into Settings>Wireless & networks>Wi-Fi is enabled, and I select Wi-Fi settings> Network notification is enabled, and then it shows up as "Lisa's," which is my mother's name, and the name of the Wi-Fi in our house, and I select it, and I select "Connect" and all it does is the little prompt that came up to ask me if i wanted to connect went away, and it went back to the Wi-Fi settings, but it's not connected to Wi-Fi. I have it enabled, obviously, and I do have Wi-Fi, because I used it on my previous iPhone, and on my current iPod touch, and I'm using it now on my laptop.

It shows the name of my Wi-Fi, and then it shows like... the 3 bars for how much service it has, and a little lock over it. I typed the correct password in, and it still has the lock. Does that mean it's not working, or that it's just telling me that it's a secure network.

-Thanks :)

Try pulling the battery out with the phone on, and leave it out for a minute before you power the phone on again- you should be doing that once or twice a week anyways btw.. If that doesn't work, try going to a Starbucks, etc. and see if you can connect to their WiFi there.. If you can, then the problem is with that network.. If you can't connect, then the problem is obviously with your phone
