My laptop details are as follows:
- Toshiba Satellite A200
- - it has a built in wireless
- OS is windows vista Home edition (genuine)
Router details:
-Netgear wgr614 (wireless g)
- security type is WEP 64bit
Here is the weird part, my laptop connects to the router when i use a WPA encryption type but it wont connect when i use a WEP encryption.
Before the laptop used to connect to my router perfectly even when it was WEP, but now it just wont connect to WEP. i even bought a brand new router exactly the same model but the laptop wont connect with WEP encryption.
Ive also tried updating the firmware for the router but it made no difference.
I am currently updating the driver for the laptop's wireless.
also i need to use WEP so my NDS can connect to the router as well.
please help me guys.
* EDIT* nevermind people, it somehow connected when i played around with the key index numbers, i changed it from 1 to 3 and it worked.
