Why doesn't my headset mic work?

I plugged in into the back, and its correct.
And, i set my volume options thing into microphone..
I just bought this a couple monthes ago, but it doesn't work.
help?
 
you probably need to download the drivers for it. Try going to control panel and then add new hardware. Then find the mic driver or something. You can also try the manufacturers website.
