I mean, it's romance--a love story between two people! Sure, there are some parts that hint love making (some explicit, some not), but it's not like it's erotica, right?!

I almost got backhanded when I said, "Don't you and Mom do it too?!"

PS
I am NOT gay! I'm as straight as an arrow! And what's wrong with being a guy and reading ROMANCE novels?! Being a guy and reading romance novels DOES NOT make you gay! In fact, men should read more romance novels! Most men, nowadays, don't know a think or two about romance! All they want is sex! Learn a thing or two about romance, for goodness sake, and learn how to treat a woman better!

I AM NOT talking about any specific book! I have a vast collection of romance! But, the book involved in the incident with my dad was Barbara Delinsky's "The Vineyard"?

it depend's really there is nothing wrong with those things unless you can visualize those things like I can. (yes I HAVE jacked off to a book). but thats not the point if youre really enjoying those books go for it but otherwise i think your dads afraid you'll turn out like me.
whatever.

Would you want YOUR kid exposed to that? And I'm pretty sure it can become erotica if you make it that. Besides, it provokes bad things, and it's just not right for a kid to be exposed to that.

ok . . . . . i think you should listen to your parents, cause its the right thing to do, but if you want a romance book without too much romance you should try Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (if you havent already)!!!!

and the other answerers are right: would you want your kid reading stuff like that??? come on!!
