why doesn't my car switch gear from 2 to 3 & 4?

I have a 2000 Audi S4, Automatic transmission. It has 137,000 miles on it. When I try to switch gears 1 to 2 is fine, but I cant switch from 2 to 3 and 4(sport option). Also, sometimes when the car is running (engine is on) I put the gear on D but the car doesn't move. I push the gas(accelerate) pedal, but nothing happens, till I restart the car (sometimes it works with one time restarting, sometime I have to do it a couple of times).
Also, the radio shows "SAFE" and won't work at all.... do you have any idea of whats wrong with the car?
