Maybe it's that the car being old, the car can't handle burned CD, BECAUSE it's aburned CD, and the only reason the newer car can handle it is because it's newer.

...albums do? I just recently burned a CD for a breif road trip my family is having, but for some reason, it would not work in the car that I will be driving (it's a 98 model). i wondered if there was something wrong with the CD or if for some reason it wouldn't work in cars, so when i tested it in one of the other cars (an 07 model) it worked just fine. Do I need to change the bit rate that I burned the songs at? Is there some other reason the '98 car won't play the CD? Also, other CDs (full store bought albums, not other burned discs) work perfectly fine in the '98 model.
