Why doesn't Light take shape during the first nuclear reaction of the universe?

I have seen the video located at http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=hSZqhqR5XKM. By their saying, Helium was formed due to the fusion of many hydrogen atom, when universe was 3 sec old. But when we see today's nuclear fusion reactions, we find light, sound, and other energy forming during nuclear fusion reactions. Any answers to this question?
