Why doesnt Gordon Ramsey take his own advice when it comes to his ailing restaurants?

I specifically remember an episode on Kitchen Nightmares where the proprietors had closed their restuarant to the lunch trade because they didnt get enough custom to make it profitable so they only opened in the evenings. Cue rant from Gordon about how the lunch time trade was key and, once his production company offered everyone free food, off he went and got a whole bunch of people in at lunch time and he looked like the hero.

Yet whats this?

"In New York he shut the 45-seat upmarket dining room at lunch to halve staff costs"

Hang on Gordon, why are you doing that? Dont you know the lunch time trade is key? LOL.

Its very easy to make yourself look like a success when your production company is able to muster 80 diners on command to eat at a local restaurant thus giving the impression that its his work thats turned it into a success.
