Why doesn't fox news think they are part of the mainstream media?

Seriously, I'm pretty sure there #1 out of the 24 hour news networks, yet they talk about the "mainstream media" like they are some obscure am radio show. Your thoughts?
If any of the neo-cons here actually watched msnbc/cnn they would know they are often critical of Obama, but they're to narrow-minded for that.
Does anyone here know that Rupert Murdoch got his start buying newspapers and turning them into tabloids? Intresting.
 
That is how they sell that BS. They act like they are raging against the system and for the people. What a joke. If you don't know what a sound bite is try some fox. It is all those clowns use. They take one little quote and turn into whatever they want to say.

Screw MSNBC as well. Screw ALL THE NETWORKS. They do not tell you what you need to know. They tell you what they think you want to know, and you agree with it.

Wake up people. They only want your money.
 
I used to always watch CNN until the election between McCain and Obama started. I watched them up to the introduction of Sara Palin at the RNC convention. All they kept saying was how Sara was going to read a speech, and all this proved was how well she could read a speech, they must have said it about 20 times. I've never heard them say that about anybody before. THey were belittling her quite a bit. I have never watched them again. Before that I watched them for many years. I liked lou dobbs, as well it was only shortly after that, FNC started transmitting in HD. Cnn was in HD for a long time, so I watched them for that reason. msnbc is hardly critical of Obama. They might challenge a little bit, but not much.

But your question about FOX, yea that drives me nuts. I get tired of hearing them say, why isn't the main stream media covering this or that. I'm always thinking why aren't you covering it, you are the media.
I emailed them that same question, time after time. I have never received an answer.
The only reason I can think of, is they dont send out reporters like CNN does, and news papers do, they seem to do their reporting from the news room.
You never see Megan kelly going out in the field. The only person leaves the building is Heraldo I think..

THe main reason though is they are Cable, not reg tv.
Main stream would not even be CNN. It would be ABC, CBS, NBC
 
Yeah they dont kiss Obama or the liberals a**, and actually report the truth. How much did you see on any other network about the Dems adding 300 page sto cap and trade the day of the vote, and then still pushing it to a vote when they didn't even know what they were voting on?

The other channels were too busy with mj's death.
 
They are a part of the mainstream media, in fact they are a large part of it. It just helps fuel their ratings by acting rebellious and filling their viewers small brains with stupid buzzwords and conspiracy theories about the evil Liberal media.

Ha, because they are not.

CNN is the mainstream media, Fox is not even good enough to be included in my channel list.

Fox slants everything to the right it seems while MSNBC slants to the left.

CNN tries to stay in the middle.
