At my school the deposit is $500 due in march for the following year that begins in august!?? It seems unfair and maybe a little discriminatory that students like myself (who are paying for college with substantial financial aid) are asked to pay out of pocket for expenses that are supposed to be covered with financial aid. To me it seems like this is, if anything, simply another factor that prevents talented individuals from obtaining a good education
Well...i go to one of the top private schools in the country, so im not sure about the "real school" comment. And ive inquired about getting extensions on this deposit in the past, and the limit is the end of April. On top of this, my financial aid simply is not enough to cover this extra amount, even with the maximum stafford and Perkins loans and other various grants
