Why doesn`t a movie saved in Movie Maker play in Media Player?

I use Windows Movie maker for editing... Downloaded a clip from youtube in AVI format, imported it and edited the part I want to use then saved it the standard way... for playback on my computer... and then I played it in Media Player and I can hear the sound but the screen is black with a tiny strip of movement at the top... what is the problem? Can anybody help... advice please!
 
You have to save the movie as in the finishing section, export the video so it saves as an actual video file.

If you already dead that then I don't know, sorry.
