Why does Waffle House try to rip you off?

OK, so I'm driving home from my night class, and my wife is hungry and wants me to pick her up a waffle. So I tell her to call in an order at Waffle House, and to get two because an extra one is only a buck more (the first one is like 2.75). I get there, and they try to tell me they have to charge full price for each, because my wife said "two waffles" instead of "double waffle.

I said, "C'mon, you know what my wife wanted, change the ticket."

She (the girl behind the counter) said "I'm sorry, I can't."

I raised my voice a bit, to let her know I was serious and not to be trifled with, and said "It's a DOUBLE waffle."

Boy, you should have seen the look on her face when she realized the customer is right and changed that ticket.

My question is, is the chance that I won't give them repeat business or letting other people know about my experience really worth them getting an extra 1.75 out of me?
For those who don't know (Sadie) Waffle House is a magical house made of waffles, and they have elves that serve waffles and they take boogers for payment, but they have to be individual boogers, and not rolled up between your fingers. Does that help? (Sadie?)
