Why does the NFL or any other sports genre gotta do this?

I was hoping to watch the news this evening *not like there's going to be anything happy* and I caught the last of a football game where my news should be! Don't you think with all the cable channels they have these days, they can save the sports for other channels or times?

So annoying!

Yes, I do understand that not everyone has cable or satellite, but still....
