Why does the media market sprots more as a sexual form of entertainment than a sport?

Damn it! Freaking typo! I meant market sports.
Examples: Tennis, women in short skirts, Volleyball, Woman wearing next to nothing with tight little shorts, Football, a bunch of men in good shape wearing tight spandex pants, Wrestling, men and, women wearing revealing tights (I do mean Olympic and, College wrestling), and etc.

Do you think the media is using the concept that sex sells more than, trying to entertain people who really like watching competition?

I tried asking this same question before in different words but, people misunderstood what I was trying to state.

I am going to go out on a limb and say it is because very few people watch women's sports unless the women are hot- right or wrong that is a fact... women's sports generally pull no where near the crowds that mens sports do
