Anyone who watched his Dimbleby Lecture on BBCTV last night could not fail to be impressed by the logical, intelligent, moderate way in which he spoke. He is too often derided by commentators who're not fit to polish his shoes.
Only one thing about that show puzzled me; both Prince Charles and Dimbleby appeared to be able to speak at great length without referring to notes or reading from a prompter.
