advancement of civil rights? The fact being that Calvin Coolidge, a staunch Conservative Republican, signed the legislation that made "Indians" Native Americans actual American citizens. That, to me, seems like an important fact. Why isn't this taught?

Hey genius, if someone doesn't have food, and you come along and give that person food, do you say "Oh wow, you actually allowed them to be able to nourish themselves"? The point is they were being denied those rights and it took a conservative Republican to give it back to them. Understand?
