police depts, etc to socialism? Just because those are accepted gov't branches, some of which work, some are corrupt, and some very inefficient.

While the US military is the best in the world in terms of discipline and results, does anyone really believe it's a socialist organization? If you do, do you really want a society that is punished for not taking orders from "superiors" and doesn't like opposing opinions to orders? Do you want only one source for your supplies - the post commissary? The left hates the miliary yet uses it to propagate their viewpoint !
 
I'm sorry but it is a form of socialism. Money is taken from the people and administered by the government in a way that is "supposed" to benefit all of society. Some of this occurs on the local level, but it is still socialism. I believe that things would work much better with no governments. Governments legalize crime and theft for themselves but actively stop anyone else from pursuing in those same activities. But don't worry, it's for your own good they tell you.
