I have a 1999 mustang gt 4.6l which uses the ignition coil on spark plug system. Last week i replaced the spark plugs. Prior to changing the spark plugs the ignition coil in cylinder 8 had gone bad 2 times. i was told that the spark plug in there could be bad or going bad thus causing this problem. now i installed the new coil in cylinder 8 a week before installing the new spark plugs. maybe i should have replaced the plugs before putting a new coil in there? the coil in cylinder 8 has already started to go bad again. i simply tested each ignition coil by unplugging them while the car was on and seeing how that affected the smooth running engine. the coil slowly goes bad each time and i suspect this coil will be totally useless soon. for your information compression seems to be fine.... please advise. well the wires look fine, and changing them get expensive. i plan on using the warranty on the coil to replace it for a 3rd time at advanced auto parts. could this problem be i inserted this 2nd new coil before fixing the fouled spark plug? THERE ARE NO PLUG WIRES THIS IS IGNITION ON COIL ON SPARK PLUG AND ANY WIRES FOR THE COIL PACK ARE CHECKED AND FINE.
please be aware its not the wiring, no one under 21 answer this please...
