Why does the Army lie so much to the public and recruits about torture at GITMO?

Well to cut to the chase I was a Army Correctional Specialist! I have PTSD FROM ALL THE TORTURE I saw.

I worked at GITMO and the USDB. The Army mainly tells the public it is a easy 9 to 5 good with low risk. They also fight us through the VA when we get out with allot problems.

Army lies

1. It is a safe job because you don't deploy: I was in Afghanistan 4 times on missions I was there long enough for a combat patch. The fact is the state side jails are hazardous than the war. I was stabbed 3 times, got hep c from a urine cocktail, and had my back cut open at the usdb.

2. The Army will pay for your college: Half true what they don't say is you work 12 to 18 hours a day for 10 to 15 days in a row.

3. You can reclass at any time: BS I tried to deploy to get away from the DB and many stay in Iraq to avoid it!

4. The army will let you ETS easily. Gross lie! When I was in my window my commander, 1st sgt and retention nco gave a family visit. They started out by saying "you have a nice family" then they said if you get out "we will keep you from getting a job." They ended saying they will just stop loss me. They tried to get my wife fired after I got out!

5. Training is like going to college: Lie! In your school do you get hit with chemical weapons? Did you get tortured?
 
Well first of all Gitom is run be the Marines, We could handle torturing people that want to hurt the American Way. What i sense is that you were a fool to volunteer your service to the country for a free education. Not to defend it, that was your mistake now live with it. Sounds like you were sent you somewhere to go fight and you wanted the easy job... Hello that's your main job in the Military............ LOL i am glad you were not a Marine...... you might tend to cry to much
 
This is a re-post (and a cut & paste to boot) of a prior rant. Go to the VA, DAV, and get some psychiatric counseling for "PTSD for torture you saw"... or are you just making the whole thing up in your paranoid, little world?
 
Seems like all your complaints are about your benefits.

Is it true that the terrorists at Gitmo could interrupt their interrogations five times a day so they could pray to mecca? Sounds pretty harsh!
 
Sorry if you feel so much stress from dealing with all those murders of men, women and children, as well as fellow American Soldiers and Citizens.

I am sure they must be saints, totally misunderstood and should not be subjected to such excruciating pain: mind games, a bug in the cell, a little water through a cloth over the mouth.

How dare we be so cruel? Oh my, as if given the chance, to go back to a life in: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Palestine, Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan they would not once again pick up arms and kill just to kill.

Learn, adapt, and understand; there are people in this world that would kill you, your mother, your father, your friends and as well as any and all Americans’, never think twice about it, and celebrate the death of those who they killed...

Do you really think that what was done to these murders was torture, what about their victims and the families of these victims, do they not deserve your sympathy, your understanding, and your empathy?
