Why does the American media show Russians as noble heroes who freed Eastern...

...Europe from Nazis in WW2? A lot of American movies(such as Enemies At the Gate) and American videogames(such as Call of Duty) portray Russians as heroes defending their homeland from the Nazis,who later freed Eastern Europe from the Nazis.But what I don't understand is how come the American media never MENTIONS THE RAPING AND MASSACRING THE RED ARMY DID?Alot of Americans in my school think Russians were the good guys in WW2.But if you research,you will discover that Russians did many horrendous crimes the Nazis did!For example,the American media shows the Russian Army as soldiers who freed Jews from concentration camps.But long before WW2,Russian were already doing genocidal acts of hate against Jew(Research the Pogroms;you will be SHOCKED AT HOW Russians treated Jews)!Secondly,the American media never shows this:when Russia expelled the Nazis from Eastern European countries,they would occupy these same Eastern European countries as bad,if not worse,then the Nazis did!The Russian army committed raped and raped more innocent civilians than the Nazis and Japanese combined!They brutally massacred about the same amount of Eastern Europeabs as the Nazis did(for no apparent reason)!In fact,Red Army soldiers would even rape Soviet Nurses they just freed from Nazi concentration camps and prisons!Additionally, the Russians robbed a lot of resources from these Eastern European countries!So why does the American media show Russians as noble heroes who freed Eastern Europe from Nazis in WW2?
The best example of American media portraying the Red Army as Heroes would be the Call of Duty videogames.In this videogame francaise,they portray Russians heroically defending their homeland from Nazi oppression.But they never show the rape and massacres the Red army did in this videogame francaise.
