Why does redsn0w 0.9.6b4 keep crashing dearing the jailbreak?

I have an iPod touch 4th Gen and im trying to jailbreak it its not the first time iv jailbroken an iPod but seeing im running 4.2.1 firmware im having to use redsn0w and every time i start it it works fine but after it gets to the installing the jailbreaking data it crashes...please if you have any idea on how i can get it to work please help me i really miss having a jailbroken iPod and all the advantages it gives...HELP....please and thank you
