No, really, why is Perl a camel?
Like, a cup of coffee for Java makes sense, and so does the Python logo. But why a camel?

The book publishers, O'Reily & Associates publish computer books. They started out putting endanger species on the covers, to bring about awareness. However, this has since changed to all sorts of animals. Now-a-days, the book's authors get to choose the animal they want on the cover. The authors of Perl chose a camel. I don't know why.
