lincoln was a tyrant and one of the worst 3 presidents of all time despite the good press he receives.

his emancipation proclamation freed slaves in the secessionist states only while holding the northern slaves as slaves.

he burnt down opposition newspapers, and suspended habeas corpus.
 
Talking about Lincoln makes Obama look more presidential. that's all there is to it.

I find it quite ironic... as Lincoln only wanted to emancipate the slaves so he could send them back to Africa... but couldn't do it because slaves were property... but hey, it doesn't get put into our history books because it looks bad on one of the most revered Presidents.
